<p>The fourth pre-alpha release of Curie is now available. It
features the following user-visible improvements:</p>

<li>The <code>File -> Properties</code> menu displays the document properties of the
currently open PDF document.</li>

<p>The third pre-alpha release of Curie is now available. It
features the following user-visible improvements:</p>
<ul>
<li><p>The <code>File -> Recent files</code> menu is updated whenever
documents are opened.</p></li>
<li><p>Continuous page view and multiple columns (e.g., for dual page display) using a grid-based view model. The page number updates as this is scrolled.</p></li>
<li><p>An exception handler popup window that displays errors such as missing files or invalid page number selection.</p></li>

<p>The second pre-alpha release of Curie is now available. It
features the following user-visible improvements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Zooming using the scrollwheel (Ctrl + Scroll Up to zoom in and
Ctrl + Scroll Down to zoom out).</li>
<li>Drag-and-drop of file on to the page area opens the file.</li>
</ul>
<p>There have also been some improvements to the installation
particularly on macOS. There is now a working
<a href="https://github.com/project-renard/homebrew-project-renard">homebrew tap for installing
curie</a>
that installs Curie along with its native dependencies.</p>

<p>Curie, named after Marie Curie, is the first released component of Project
Renard. It is an application for reading and navigating documents.
This first release is a typical document reader. It allows for</p>
<ul>
<li>opening PDF files,</li>
<li>moving between pages using buttons,</li>
<li>moving to a specific page number, and</li>
<li>navigation via an outline if the PDF file contains one.</li>
